Seminar on Working Skills for People with Visual Impairments, Session 2: “Creating a Compelling Resume” — Call for Participants, Saturday, August 9

Is your resume truly getting your message across?

A resume is the first tool to convey your aspirations and strengths.

Hiring managers judge you based on your resume before meeting you. In disability-inclusive hiring, you also need to communicate information such as the accommodations and support you require.

Even if you’ve submitted resumes before, why not take a fresh look now and ask, “Is it really conveying what I intend?”

In this seminar, we will carefully cover key points for resumes in disability hiring, including how to write about disability characteristics and necessary support.

The instructor is Yuki Ito of BizReach, Office Support Center, who has long supported disability employment on the ground. Drawing on experience in both support settings (such as employment transition support) and corporate recruiting, he will work with participants to craft “resumes that communicate.”

For in-person participants, we will also provide individual time to receive direct advice from the instructor. Those who wish can submit their resume in advance to receive deeper feedback. For those far away or unable to attend, online participation is available (lecture portion only).

If you’re even a little interested, please feel free to apply. Let’s spend time together creating a resume that ensures your “message” truly reaches its audience.
